Free Meals for ALL:
Beginning March 23, meals will be distributed Monday – Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm at more than 400 locations across the city.

  • Meals can be picked up at all Meal Hubs 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday

  • Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

    • No one will be turned away at any time

    • All adults and children can pick up three meals at one time

    • Vegetarian and halal options available at all sites

  • No dining space is available, so meals must be eaten off premises

  • Parents and guardians may pick up meals for their children

  • No registration or ID required

Food Help NYC – You can get food today from New York City’s food pantries, which provide groceries you can cook at home, and community kitchens, which provide hot meals. Food pantries and community kitchens are located throughout the five boroughs. If you need food immediately, find locations near you by using our Food Map.

Neighborhood Guides to Food & Assistance – Hunger Free America – Free food and assistance is available in New York City.  No matter what your situation – you can get nutritious food!

GetFoodNYC – The City has created the GetFoodNYC food delivery program to provide food for coronavirus (COVID-19)-vulnerable and food-insecure New Yorkers not currently served through existing food delivery programs.
This program is available to you if you:

  • Are unable to go out and get food for yourself, AND

  • Do not have someone else in your household who can get food for you, AND

  • Do not have a family member, friend, or neighbor who lives nearby who can get food for you, AND

  • Do not receive food from Meals on Wheels, God’s Love We Deliver or a similar service, AND

  • Are not able to afford food delivery from a restaurant or grocery store.
    If you qualify, you should note that:

    • Each household can only make 1 order per day.

    • Each person who needs food will be given one box, which is designed to last 2 days.

    • GetFoodNYC will deliver to a maximum of 3 people in each household.

    • The amount of food delivered is based on the number of people in your household who need food from this service.

    • Orders placed after 5 PM will not be delivered the next day, but will be delivered the day after.

    • GetFoodNYC will collect information about any dietary restrictions but cannot guarantee those requests can be met, based on food supply.

Food Delivery FYI: Only Taxi Limousine Commission (TLC)-licensed drivers are eligible to make deliveries for the GetFoodNYC program.By signing up for this service, you agree that GetFoodNYC can share your name, phone number, address and any access restrictions or instructions (locked outer gate, broken buzzer, etc ) with the TLC drivers working with GetFoodNYC to ensure the food is delivered to you.
