Summer Reading Programs 2011


For the Borders program – read 10 books and get one free.

For the Barnes & Noble program – read 8 books and get one free.

The NY Public Library program lets them create an avatar, track their reading online and earn badges online. They might also qualify for prizes from the library at the end of the summer as well.

The H.E.Buddy Summer Reading Club mails kids a free tee shirt after reading 10 books.

The Scholastic Summer Challenge lets children log the number of minutes read in order to try to reach weekly goals, earn digital prizes and help set a world record.

The Pottery Barn Summer Reading Challenge gives kids a free book after they read all the books on the Pottery Barn reading list.

PBS Kids Summer Reading Community Challenge is a 6 week program with daily emailed reading tips, book recommendations, activities, etc.

National Amusements Theatres give free admission to kids on Wednesdays at 10 AM from July 6 – August 10 when they turn in a book report form (downloaded from their website).

TD Bank Summer Reading Program gives a $10 deposit into a Young Savers Account for kids that have read 10 books.
