The North Shore Rotary Club has benefitted the Staten Island Community in many ways. In the past they have used their fundraising efforts to support autistic programs as well as to support individual families affected by autism.
This year they will be hosting three separate events for the same cause.
- Tuesday, March 29, 2011 – Noon to 3p.m. – Celebrate Autism Day at Rab’s Country Lanes,1600 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10305, – Rab’s will close its doors and allow any autistic individual and/or program in to bowl for free. Call Christine DeHart(917) 417-9450
- Friday, April 1, 2011 – Midnight Bowl-A-Thon Richmond County Roteract Club & the Interact Club of Staten Island team up for a Bowl-A-Thon. Young adults will be rasing money by bowling at Midnight for the cause.
- Sunday, April 3, 2011 – 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – 3rd Annual North Shore Rotary Bowl-A-Thon – Bowlers are sponsored by friends and family – the person who raises the most money gets a prize! If you don’t bowl, sponsor someone else for a minimum of $25. You can be a spectator and watch the action in the lanes while participating in the raffles! Sponsor a lane all weekend for a donation of $100. Your company name will be displayed over one of the lanes for the entire weekend. Please call Christine DeHart, event chairperson (917) 417-9450.
