Sensory Summer with the NY Metro Chapter of the National Autism Association

The NY Metro Chapter of the National Autism Association, in partnership with Watch Me Grow, is proud to offer two week-long sensory-sensitive summer programs for children with autism spectrum disorders during the last two weeks of August 2011

Each week-long program will be a fun and therapeutic program for children with autism spectrum disorders in a sensory-sensitive, safe and caring environment where the needs of the children come first.  The programs will be held at Watch Me Grow, a 4,000 square foot sensory gym equipped to provide sensory motor activities located at 361 East 19th Street, New York, NY 10003.  The children will play in the gym, visit local parks, and take community-based field trips.  Highly trained staff will promote socialization among the participants with a 2:1 child-to-staff ratio.

Each child applying will be screened prior to enrollment to ensure proper placement in the program.  Groups will be organized by developmental age to optimize each child’s experience.

The fee for a one week session is only $50.  Watch Me Grow has donated the space and administrative staff and the balance of the program is made possible by the generosity of our supporters.

When:  Ages 6-8: August 22-August 26, 2011

           Ages 9-11: August 29-September 2, 2011

Each one week program will be held Monday-Friday 8:30a to 2:30p

To register your child, please call 212-721-5220 and schedule your child’s free screening!  The deadline for registration is February 15, 2011.
