2010 Romp For Research:
What: The 2010 “ROMP FOR RESEARCH” – an event featuring music, food and beverages, sports and games, a silent auction, arts and crafts, prizes, entertainment, fire trucks and much, much more.
When: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 3rd, 2010
Where: Asphalt Green. 90th – 92nd Street and York Avenue in New York City. (Enter on 90th Street, east of York Avenue).
Why: To raise awareness and funding for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation. The DSRTF’s mission is to stimulate biomedical research that will accelerate the development of treatments to significantly improve cognition for individuals with Down syndrome; with the goal of improving memory, learning and speech to allow individuals with Down syndrome to participate more successfully in school, lead more active and independent lives and prevent early cognitive decline.
Who: Friends, supporters and advocates for the Down syndrome community . . . the Romp is open to everyone and is free of charge (although donations are encouraged) so invite friends.
