Psych Week on Discovery Health
  • Discovery Health airs a weeklong programming event from Sunday, May 2 through Thursday, May 6.  With premieres airing nightly at 9 pm (ET/PT), “Psych Week” will profile individuals dealing with a spectrum of afflictions and addictions. Check your local listings or visit the website.

    Getting there:

  • NAMI Connection is a recovery support group for people living with mental illness. Participants can learn from each others’ experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding. All groups are free of charge, meet weekly for 90 minutes, and are led by trained individuals who understand the challenges mental health consumers face.

  • Mind/Body Connection: Join consumers, practitioners, and trainees to explore alternative medicine interventions and techniques that complement traditional treatments for psychiatric disorders. This event is free and open to the public.
