How do animals awaken from hibernation in the springtime? Learn about hibernating animals from our friends at the Staten Island Zoo.

A Hike with Mike – 3:30 p.m.
Explore Snug Harbor’s natural habitats and man-made gardens with naturalist Mike Shanley. Visit the pond in search of turtles and other pond critters as well as get a chance to see the many types of birds that migrate through the park in spring. We will be meeting by the praying mantis in the front of the museum.
Paint the Earth
Thursday is paint day!- 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday & closed Monday, except most school holidays. Our hours reflect the New York City Public School Schedule: Noon-5 p.m. when NYC Public Schools are open. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. when NYC Public Schools are closed (including weekends).
