YAI and Broadview Networks Central Park Challenge is an event for the whole community! The day includes a 3K Walk, 5K Run, a Play Area & Jr. All-American Races for Children. All aspects of the day are open to people of all levels of ability.

On Saturday, June 5, members of the community, people who receive services from YAI, staff members, corporate partners, friends and family will all join together in Central Park to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.   Event activities take place near the Bandshell.  Enter Central Park at the 72nd Street entrances (either the East or West side) then follow the signs and crowds to the Central Park Bandshell.

Good news! In between her duties co-hosting The View and starring on her own hit Lifetime comedy, YAI Spokesperson Sherri Shepherd will be joining us in Central Park on June 5! Together with Jaden, the little boy who is helping us publicize the event, Sherri will be spreading awareness about the Central Park Challenge and the important work that YAI does for people with developmental disabilities and their families. This is something Sherri knows about first hand–her son, Jeffrey, attends a YAI Network preschool and has made amazing progress with the help of the staff in his classroom. Sherri is committed to helping the YAI Network raise funds for a new school for Jeffrey and other children with special needs to attend after they graduate from preschool.
