NYC DOE Learning Environment Surveys- Look for the GREEN ENVELOPE!

210846 #10 no ind 1.30

Dear Parents and Guardians,

You will receive the Learning Environment Survey via mail on or around March 16, 2009. You can respond by completing the form and mailing it back or complete it online from work/home. Parents will have the opportunity to use our computers on the following dates:  Saturday, March 21, 2009 10-2p.m. & Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Main Site, 91 Henderson Avenue.

This is the second year PS 373R (District 75) parents, students and teachers will participate in this survey. This is an opportunity for you to let us know what you think about your school. The Survey asks questions about the learning environment in each school. It focuses on safety and respect, engagement, communication, and academic expectations.  This survey will create positive changes within your child’s educational program. It will demonstrate your school support and involvement in your child’s education. Parent and student surveys are confidential.

The Survey Hotline 1-800-690-8603 will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist parents throughout the Survey administration period. I am also here to help support you in any way possible.

When you complete your survey, write your child’s name on the green envelope and send the opened green envelope back to school in your child’s backpack.

Kirsten Rorke PS373R Parent Coordinator T. (718) 816-8897 ext. 210

  1. To all parents: This survey is extremely important and everyone should take a few minutes to complete. Our school should have 100% responses so please help out our school to become more effective for our children. Thank you.
