Please check your calendars! Thursday February 12, the New York State Assembly Committee on Education will be holding a hearing on Staten Island. The hearing will be about Mayoral Control. This is an extremely important issue and Staten Island MUST be represented by MANY parents. I understand that the timing of this meeting will make attendance difficult but it is imperative that we participate in large numbers. Hearings held in other boroughs have had hundreds of parents and community members in attendance.
Staten Islander’s must speak out if we do not want to remain the FORGOTTEN BOROUGH!
I have posted basic meeting information below. Please visit our website www.cec31.org for more detailed information about this hearing. If you would like to ask a question about the hearing please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
