Job Skills Program at PS 37 – You Can Make a Difference!

The PS 37 Transition team is interested in securing volunteer work sites for a group of seven special needs students ages fifteen to sixteen.  They currently attend P.S.37 and are following a functional work study curriculum.  The instruction centers on the acquisition of skills necessary for transition to the post-school/work environment.  This includes community based instruction, with a focus on job skills. They have been recognized by N.Y. 1 news as Staten Islanders of the week for their volunteer work.

This class can assist your agency in the following areas:

Mailings                      In house delivery

Collating                     Simple filing

Sorting                        Assembling packets

Stapling                      Affixing labels

Stamping                   Stuffing envelopes
