The NYC Department of Education invites all families to “Ask Martine and Friends” on Wednesday, October 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Petrides, 715 Ocean Terrace, Building C. Please come and meet Martine Guerrier who is the NYC DOE Chief Family Engagement Officer. She will answer your questions about the future of your child’s education.
Her duties as Chief Family Engagement Officer include:
• identifying and assessing existing points of contact between families and DOE and developing strategies for improvement;
• representing parents’ views in decision-making at the highest levels of the DOE; and
• creating enhanced avenues for parents and families to receive accurate and timely information, as well as offering meaningful input as new policies are implemented.
