Important Fire Safety Information

The FDNY Critical Information Dispatch System (CIDS)

For people in need of assistance.

         

The CIDS program enters into the FDNY computer system the name, address and the nature of disability/assistance required in the case of an emergency,  In the event of a fire, notification will be sent if there is a person/persons who require assistance at this address or in the immediate vicinity.

          The process is quick simple and Important.  Just walk into your local firehouse and tell them you would like to be registered in this program.  This information should be kept current and updated when necessary (i.e. change of address, number of individuals requiring assistance, etc.)
